Risk disclosure

What this publication is, what it is not, and how to read it.

This is journalism, not advice

Everything published on Trading Tech Review is general information about trading technology. None of it is personal financial advice, and none of it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything, or to use any particular tool, platform or service.

We know nothing about your circumstances — your finances, your obligations, your tax position, your experience or how much you could afford to lose. Advice is advice because it takes those things into account. Nothing written for a general audience can, including everything here.

What this publication is not

Trading Tech Review is not a broker, an investment firm, a fund manager, a financial adviser or a signal service. It holds no authorisation or licence from any financial regulator. It does not hold client money, execute orders, manage accounts or accept instructions to trade.

We do not publish trade signals, entry or exit levels, model portfolios, or performance figures of our own. If you ever see something on this site that reads like a tip, treat it as an error and tell us.

Trading involves risk

Trading and investing put your money at risk, and losses are a normal outcome rather than a sign that something has gone wrong. Leveraged and derivative products magnify both gains and losses, and can lose more than the sum originally committed. Past results, whether a tool's, a strategy's or anyone else's, do not tell you what will happen next.

Only you can judge what is appropriate for your situation, and seeking independent, properly authorised advice before acting is a reasonable thing to do.

The particular risk of automated and AI tools

This publication exists largely to examine these tools, so it is worth being direct about them. A tool that produces a confident-sounding output is not thereby producing a correct one, and fluency is not accuracy. Software that trades on your behalf is acting with your money according to rules or a model that may not suit conditions it was never shown.

Where we describe how a tool works, we are describing mechanism — what it computes and what it does not. That is never an endorsement, and documentation of how something functions is never evidence that using it is profitable. Our review of the published research sets out how modest the measured evidence actually is.

Accuracy, and the limits of it

Articles are sourced and checked under our editorial policy, and we would rather leave a gap than fill it with a number we cannot trace. Even so: information goes out of date, platforms change their behaviour without notice, documentation is revised, and research is superseded. An article reflects what its sources said on the date they were read, and that date is recorded with each source.

We make no guarantee that any page is complete or current, and we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of it. Verify anything that matters against the primary source before you act on it — every article links to its own.

Outside links

We link to regulators, research and platform documentation so you can check our work. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. Where a link exists because of a commercial arrangement it is labelled on the page, and the arrangement is described on the commercial disclosure page.
